Steve Meininger

Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Operations Management Services

Steve is responsible for overseeing CH2M’s operations and maintenance (O&M), facility services and site-based operations management (OM) services across the company. This includes the Water, Energy, Transportation, Environment & Nuclear and Facilities & Urban Environments markets across six geographic regions. OM services include almost 3,000 employees delivering services valued at approximately USD500 million annually for municipal, commercial and federal customers. Steve previously served for more than five years as Senior VicePresident and Global Director of Operations for CH2M’s former Operations Management business group, where he was responsible for client satisfaction and operations/financial performance for more than 250 active facility operations and related projects. His role included delivering services in several key markets for both private and public customers including water/wastewater treatment, facilities services, public works and general government services.

Steve’s 20+ years at CH2M include work in both the consulting and O&M sides of the business. He spent six years as a Vice President responsible for global industrial, federal and technical services group projects and municipal projects in the northeastern United States. Joining the company shortly after earning his master’s degree, Steve’s early career included serving as project manager and lead process engineer for CH2M’s industrial process group focusing on the design, implementation and execution of industrial wastewater treatment projects for clients in the chemical processing, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. Later he worked as project manager responsible for delivering wastewater treatment and remedial O&M services to one of CH2M’s largest customers before being appointed a regional business manager responsible for delivering multiple industrial projects.

Education

Steve earned a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Clemson University and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech.

Professional Affiliations

Steve is active in the Water Environment Federation and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was a Charles E. Via Scholar in the Virginia Tech Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and received the Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2007. He holds a professional engineering license in Maryland and the highest level wastewater certified operator’s license in Virginia.
