Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director, Middle East, North Africa and India
With unique insight and understanding, Neil Reynolds inspires his team with the possibilities of infrastructure in this part of the world. As CH2M’s Regional Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa and India, he believes the diversity of people, cultures and terrain make it a great place to be for an engineer due to the sheer scale of engineering projects.
Neil sees the larger opportunity of the projects designed and developed alongside our clients saying:
Engineering is not only about projects, it’s about people. Partnering with our clients, the solutions we are designing are all about the people and community in mind. Whether it’s an airport, hospital, school or mass transit system, we are the day-to-day users of this infrastructure too.
Neil has done business in 35 percent of the world – over 90 countries – which he says has shaped his character both professionally and personally and given him diversity of thought and values. “Through engaging with local communities, I have gained a unique insight into the world’s markets as well as thorough appreciation and understanding of global cultures,” he comments. This insight makes him a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in all the businesses he leads.
His technical expertise is also expansive, encompassing complex infrastructure development and delivery, program, project, construction and commercial management and business development. He equally enjoys collaborating with clients, whether in the public sector, municipal or national governments, or in the private sector with local and multi-national companies, as with mentoring his own teams of employees.
Some technologies and techniques Neil has worked with include water and wastewater conveyance and treatment, closed face tunneling machines, diaphragm walling, caisson construction, hot and cold weather concreting, slip forming, asphalting, alternative road base construction, ground consolidation, mechanical and electrical plant and equipment, piling, formwork and false work, and pre-cast and pre-stressed concrete.
