Lakeview Water Treatment Plant

Groundbreaking membrane expansion at the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant provides safe drinking water to more than a million Canadians. The award-winning facility is one of the largest membrane water treatment plants in the world. 


Prairie Waters Project 

One of Colorado’s largest water-related public works project, Aurora Water’s Prairie Waters Project provides a long-term water supply to protect the community against future droughts using a combination of natural purification and advanced treatment processes. It’s exemplary innovation and completion, two months ahead of schedule and US$100 million under budget, helped meet the community’s immediate water need, while also preserving the city’s high standards for water quality. 

NEWater Visitor Center

Singapore’s NEWater Reuse Programme   

Working with Singapore’s PUB, CH2M helped conceptualize and implement an innovative reuse program and extensive public outreach and education program with the centerpiece being the NEWater Vistor Center—an international landmark for educating the world about water reuse. CH2M designed 3 of Singapore’s key NEWater treatment plants and is helping PUB secure a reliable water supply for all of Singapore’s citizens.



CH2M implemented modern desalination techniques and energy recovery devices in the United Arab Emirates for two of the Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority’s seawater reverse osmosis plants to minimize energy usage. 

The ability to innovate with new technologies and work with water utilities around the globe to help design and bring drinking water to people as cost effectively as possible, is what excites me about working in the industry.

Twin Oaks Valley Water Treatment Plant

The largest membrane-based drinking water plant in the world, the 380 ML/d Twin Oaks Valley Water Treatment Plant uses submerged ultrafiltration membrane technology, followed by ozone/advanced oxidation and high-rate biologically-active carbon contactors. The plant was delivered ahead of schedule using the design-build model. CH2M currently operates the plant, which has been recognized as the most environmentally sustainable solution for San Diego County Water Authority. 



Showcase project for sustainable drinking water technology, New York City Department of Environmental Protection’s Catskill-Delaware Ultraviolet Disinfection Facility is the world’s largest ultraviolet disinfection facility. Named ENR’s 2013 “Best of the Best Projects,” CH2M provided construction management services for the project, including operations consulting, coordination of four major prime contractors working on the site, and several related offsite projects.
