Often seen as modern engineering marvels, bridges link communities and commerce, with success ultimately hinging on how safely, quickly and economically they can be designed and constructed.

We’ve worked on some of the longest cable-supported structures in the world, on the owner and construction side of the equation, serving as lead designer, technical advisor, independent design-checker and public-private partnership (P3) advisor. We also have extensive experience with multi-span viaducts, arch bridges, swing bridges, rail and highway bridges and foot bridges.

Osman Gazi Bridge, Turkey

We performed a comprehensive independent design check on the 1550m span suspension bridge, one of the longest in the world, that crosses the Gulf of Izmit in Turkey, and forms part of the new Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Motorway.


Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Crossing, China 

Drastically cutting travel time from Hong Kong to Macau, the 25-mile sea crossing includes our joint venture design of a 4-mile composite viaduct and an 880-foot span cable-stayed bridge. 

Galena Creek

Galena Creek Bridge, Reno, Nevada 

CH2M provided independent design review for the 690-foot main span cathedral-arch concrete bridge, the largest in the U.S.


1-30 Corridor Reconstruction, Little Rock, Arkansas 

Increasing highway capacity, we're delivering a NEPA study and 30-percent schematic design for the I-30 Corridor from the I-40 to I-530, including a major crossing of the Arkansas River. 

Vistula River Bridge

Vistula River Bridge, Kamień, Poland

Improving accessibility to Poland’s national road network, our experts provided conceptual and detailed design for the 10-span river crossing.


Golden Ears Bridge, Vancouver, British Columbia

Promoting economic activity and reducing travel time, the stunning Golden Ears Bridge, the largest extradosed bridge in North America, was delivered by a joint venture that included CH2M.


Hastings High Bridge Replacement, Hastings, Minnesota

Enhancing mobility and creating a unique identity for the community, the signature arch span bridge was advanced by our scoping study, preliminary engineering and independent design check.


Medway Crossing, Channel Tunnel Rail Link, United Kingdom 

Serving as a river crossing for the high speed rail between London and Paris, the CH2M-designed rail bridge provides passengers with exceptional ride quality and unhindered views.


New Benicia-Martinez Toll Bridge, Benicia, California

Functioning as a lifeline route following a major earthquake, the segmental box girder bridge — designed by CH2M in a joint venture — can withstand extreme seismic events. 


Al Garhoud Bridge, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Replacing a congested river crossing, our team designed the 7-lane dual carriageway to increase capacity and aesthetically blend into the urban environment. 


Tradeston Bridge, Glasgow

Improving accessibility across the River Clyde and creating a landmark waterfront structure, our pedestrian bridge design supports Tradeston’s urban regeneration strategy.



Dubai Water

Dubai Water Canal Footbridges, United Arab Emirates

Creation of three spectacular and unusual footbridges over a new canal constructed to connect the inner areas of the Dubai creek to the Gulf Bay. Designed by CH2M, the bridges are part of a unique new ‘green network’ providing pedestrians complete autonomy from vehicular routes.


Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, Washington, D.C.

Transforming the area on both sides of the Anacostia River, we’re supporting the bridge replacement project with preliminary engineering, environmental approvals and procurement of the 6-lane signature span.  

Second Severn

Second Severn Crossing, United Kingdom

The 5km-long motorway crossing including a 450m cable-stayed navigation span across the fast flowing strongly tidal Severn Estuary. The multi-award winning solution was designed by a CH2M joint venture, working for the consortium responsible for the design, build, financing and operation of the tolled crossing.


Prins Claus Bridge, Holland

Partnering to develop the winning concept for the cable-stayed bridge, our team prepared the reference design for the design-build contract and provided design reviews during construction.


Taw Bridge, Barnstaple Western Bypass, United Kingdom

Reducing traffic impact to the town center while easing environmental risks, the CH2M-designed 5-span structure was built across the River Taw with minimal disruption to the estuaries used by migrating sea birds. 


Incheon Bridge, South Korea

Providing direct access between Songdo and Incheon International Airport, South Korea's longest spanning cable-stayed bridge was subject to a full independent design check by our experts. 


Busan Geoje, South Korea

We served as technical advisor for the project’s two major cable-stayed bridges and an immersed tunnel, linking the southern city of Busan and the island of Keoje in South Korea.


The Øresund Link, Denmark

Connecting Denmark and Sweden, this railway and motorway bridge and immersed tunnel project was advanced with our joint-venture team’s conceptual designs and technical consultancy for the coast-to-coast crossing. 


Finnieston Bridge, Glasgow, Scotland

As the design competition winner for the landmark structure spanning the River Clyde, we provided detailed design and construction supervision for the bowstring arch bridge.

Stonecutters Bridge

Stonecutters Bridge, Hong Kong

Leading the team that won the international design competition for the crossing over the Rambler Channel, we were instrumental in the development of one of the longest cable-stayed spans in the world.


Palm Jebel Ali, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We carried out the design of the main and crescent bridges at Palm Jebel Ali, providing access to Dubai’s second artificial archipelago.



Fort Edmonton Footbridge, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Spanning the North Saskatchewan River, the signature footbridge, which our team designed with a minimal environmental footprint, connects to the existing trail system.

Easing congestion and connecting communities, the cable-stayed crossing over the River Mersey estuary is being constructed with the help of our public-private partnership advisory services, where we are providing expert technical and contractual advice.


Goethals Bridge Replacement Project, New York and New Jersey

With our public-private partnership procurement support, we collaborated with the Port Authority to advance the bridge replacement that provides commuters and freighters critical access between New Jersey and New York.
