CH2Mer Quirien Muylwyk earns AWWA Golden Spigot Award

CH2Mer Quirien Muylwyk, Canada Region Business Development and Technology Manager on our Water team, has been named the 2015 recipient of the Golden Spigot Award by the American Water Works Association (AWWA). The trustees of AWWA’s Water Quality & Technology Division voted to bestow this award upon Quirien for helping to develop and distribute technical and educational resources that inform the water community on the latest issues and best practices in the water profession, in accordance with the Division’s mission and goals.

Rick Sakiji from East Bay Municipal Utility District, who served as the 2015 Water Quality Technology Conference (WQTC) Planning Committee Chair, presented Quirien with the award, during the 2015 WQTC, held in Salt Lake City, Utah, November 15-19. The award recognizes Quirien’s leadership and years of volunteering with AWWA, including serving as chair of the Planning Committee for the WQTC in 2012 and past chair of the AWWA Distribution System Water Quality Committee. She is currently Chair of the Water Quality and Technology Division, and as a member of AWWA’s Technical and Education Council, she is chair of the Conference Planning Committee.
