Carlo Orsenigo is CH2M's executive vice president for Global Project Services, where he is responsible for project delivery, project controls, procurement, contract administration, risk, global design centers and Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality for the company.

Prior to this appointment, Carlo served as regional managing director for Latin America, a region with activities spanning from the U.S./Mexico border down to Argentina, with approximately 2,000 employees and permanent offices in Mexico, Panama, Trinidad, Brazil, Peru and Argentina. In this role, Carlo was responsible for the Profit and Loss for the water; transportation; environment & nuclear; oil, gas & chemicals; and industrial & urban environments business lines in the region.

Joining CH2M in 2010 as country manager of our Mexican operations, Carlo oversaw a group of 200 professionals operating in the former Industrial & Advanced Technology, Environmental and Water Business Groups—which has since evolved into a large-scale delivery office with a countrywide leading position in the oil, gas & chemicals and transportation sectors. Carlo’s more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry led to his additional appointment in 2012 as the oil, gas & chemicals regional business group manager, with operational focus mostly in Mexico and Argentina.

Carlo was born, raised and educated in Italy, and prior to joining CH2M, he held several positions in the Techint Group of Companies in Italy, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Singapore, and Argentina.

Carlo has significant experience in project controls, business development and general management. Early in his career, Carlo acted as project controls manager for large Engineering, Procurement and Construction delivery contracts. Later moving into business development, he defined and implemented new regions of activity and business areas—with a particular focus on the oil and gas industry (specifically pipelines and terminals) and infrastructure development, often leading large international consortia or joint ventures.

Carlo has also delivered complex, public-private development schemes such as airports and power generation facilities.
