Our new state-of-the-art, multi-million-dollar Global Engineering & Design Centre, located in Gurgaon (suburban New Delhi), India, is a high-bandwidth, multi-discipline facility offering engineering and technical services to our offices and clients worldwide. Our staff can take your project through the entire cycle, from concept to planning, design, procurement, construction, and operations.
Sponsored by CH2M HILL's Energy Division, the Centre leverages CH2M HILL's economies of scale and collaborative methodologies, affording projects a virtual 24-hour workday via work-sharing with CH2M HILL's offices worldwide. In some cases, this seamless integration and scheduling capacity allows for projects to be completed in half the time compared to the standard work schedule.
A sampling of the Centre's projects spans the globe, including the Zarzaitine Oilfield Surface Facility Expansion Project in Algeria; a polysilicon project in Canada; engineering and technical services for Dolphin Energy Ltd. in Qatar; a coal seam methane trial water treatment plant for BG Group Queensland Gas Company in Australia; and technical reviews for MIAL Mumbai Airport.
While the Centre supports projects around the globe, the staff is also well-positioned to help local clients. Notable local projects include the modernization of a chemical facility for Chemtura, commissioning assistance for Cairn Energy, mini refinery configuration for GSPC, and a basic engineering package for Reckitt & Benckiser.
The GEDC's team of experts represent all of the major engineering disciplines, including mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and project controls. Areas of specialty include refining, upstream, chemicals, water treatment, and infrastructure.
The Centre was also designed with room for growth. Plans for 2010 include the addition of procurement services in order to offer global sourcing and pricing advantages to customers. Also, leveraging CH2M HILLís best practices, quality, and safety expertise, the Centre will begin offering construction management services later in the year.
