Employee Milestones — Quarter 2, 2008

Terry Krause, Chicago, Illinois, was selected as the task force chair for the next edition of the Water Environment Federation’s Design of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants. Krause will work with other industry leaders to revise the existing manual, enabling designers and engineers to develop efficient and cost-effective plants that incorporate the most current treatment technologies.

Jennifer Bell, Raleigh, North Carolina, was named the 2007 Carolinas Water Business Group Client Service Manager of the Year. She was recognized for her outstanding service to several clients, including her work with the three public service districts on Hilton Head Island.
Holly Myers, Redding, California, was selected to participate in the California Agriculture Leadership Program. The program is a two-year fellowship that provides selected individuals with professional and personal leadership development to better serve California’s multi-billion dollar agricultural economy.

Andy Strickland, Denver, Colorado, was appointed to a third term as a Special Government Employee for the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration Region 8. Strickland serves as an official member of government teams to evaluate work sites for inclusion in the OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program.

Bob Bailey, Orlando, Florida, was appointed to the Board of Directors for Quest, Inc. and to the Board of Directors for the National Association of Corporate Directors, Florida Chapter.
Emma Walsh, Sydney, Australia, was accepted for a twelve-month role on the Australian Youth Ambassador for Development Program, which is an AusAid initiative. As part of the program, Walsh will be working with the United Nations Development Program as an Environment Support Officer, based in Fiji.

James Dwyer, Austin, Texas, was appointed to the National Ground Water Association Water Well Standards Development Committee. Korea.


Aditya Tyagi, Austin, Texas, is the co-author of a new book, Risk and Reliability Analysis: A Handbook for Civil and Environmental Engineers published by American Society of
Civil Engineers Press.

Tom Helgeson, Tampa, Florida, was elected to serve as the speaker-elect of the Water Environment Federation House of Delegates at the recent WEF National Conference held in San Diego, California. He will assume speaker of the house responsibilities in 2008-2009.

Sam Irrinki, El Paso, Texas, was selected to serve on the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board.
