This award recognizes CH2M HILL for excellence with Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
This award recognizes the exceptional leadership and business acumen of large companies that successfully integrate the capabilities of the SDVOSB to meet the critical warfighting needs of the Department of Defense. The award was presented Nov. 17 in Washington D.C. Additional information on the award is available at www.acq.osd.mil/osbp/programs/veterans/index.htm.
"This award validates that CH2M HILL's Procurement and Contracts personnel have demonstrated to our Federal clients that we are committed to utilizing the local and small business community in delivering our projects," says Willie T. Franklin III, manager of CH2M HILL's Supplier Diversity and Small Business Program. "It is very evident by this award that CH2M HILL understands that service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses provide innovative and creative solutions at a competitive price."
In 2007, CH2M HILL awarded 5.4 percent of its total DoD Federal subcontract dollars to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, far exceeding its overarching Federal SDVOSB goal of 1.0 percent.
CH2M HILL continually awards more than 70 percent of its subcontracting dollars to small businesses. The firm has been twice been honored for this commitment with the Small Business Administration's Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence by the Small Business Administration. Earlier this year CH2M HILL was named one of the Top 10 Corporations for Veteran Businesses by the National Veteran Owned Business Association.
