Scott Bartlett, P.E.

- Finalist for the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- "I have always wanted a career that challenges my personal development and intellect. It is truly exciting to wake up and know that you going to go to work and learn something new today."
- Certified in Lean Manufacturing, and preparing for LEED Certification, Scott Bartlett applies these concepts when designing and implementing capital improvement projects for industrial facilities. He is providing detail designs for a shipbuilding facility and high-performance fibers plant. Scott participates in Relay for Life and coaches a youth soccer team.

Michael Pepera

- Finalist for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
- "My favorite part of job is seeing something that I designed start-up and run as intended."
- With a strong emphasis on sustainability, Michael Pepera focuses on reducing energy consumption through engineering design. He has supported utilities, refineries, and pharmaceutical companies and is currently balancing work as a process engineer for two local refineries. Michael is active with his church and volunteers at a local food bank.

Ryan Acierno, LEED AP

- Semi-finalist for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE-USA)
- "I have been interested in electronics ever since I can remember. As a kid I was always taking things apart and messing around with the wire. I took an electronics elective class in high school, and I knew I was going into electrical engineering once I reached college."
- As a LEED accredited professional, Ryan Acierno contributed his LEED knowledge to a large Photovoltaic manufacturing plant in New Mexico by providing design and on-site construction support. Ryan is active in the community and volunteers with the Boy Scouts to help scouts earn their engineers' badge and with the local Relay for Life events to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Lauren Jackson

- Semi-finalist for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
- "I love that I get to use real engineering. I apply engineering equations that I learned in school on a regular basis. Then I get to see the final product later on."
- Inspired to become an engineer by her father, also a chemical engineer, Lauren Jackson's project work includes a plant that will convert molasses to ethanol for fuel and a project that will create polymer for green carpet out of corn syrup rather than the conventional petrochemical process.

Melissa Wu, P.E.

- Semi-finalist for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
- "I enjoyed studying science and math in school, and the opportunity to solve problems and do something good for the environment and community encouraged me to try engineering in college."
- Identifying sustainable and innovate solutions are top of mind when Melissa Wu is planning and designing wastewater and water projects. She has developed beneficial uses for both reclaimed water and biosolids. She is active in ASCE's Younger Member Forum, volunteers for Rebuilding Together and at a food bank distribution center, and participates in educational outreach programs.
